Well, I finally found a camera for under a hundred dollars that is as good as the Nikon that was stolen. It's a Canon that I got at Electronic Express for about twenty dollars off. Today I came home from a long day at work and discovered him dead. In the Big Picture, a cat may only be a small pixel, an infinitesimal speck in the eye of the Creator, but for almost fifteen years this very special little guy was a companion, a giver of unconditional love, and a cheerful fellow born into a world where quiet demonstrations of loyalty too often go unnoticed and unrewarded. The snaking "bridge" is the boardwalk behind Polo Park Apartments on Lebanon Road. I'm also trying to see if anyone knows how old the railroad pylons are across Stones River below the hill that the YMCA and Police Academy sit on. For some reason the old railroad cut fell into disuse and the track was pulled up. The Shelby Park and Shelby Bottoms Greenway has some interesting stuff in it. I have yet to shoot any of the old statuary or whatever it is they put in there. It's a lot like the band shell and such at Centennial Park. But this last time I went I took some shots of the Duck Pond and a water overflow valve.
